Gloucestershire author Lynne Pardoe’s readings and contributions to the discussion panels were very well received at the 2015 HU LitFest, so we thought you might like to hear her recent radio interview, given to BBC Radio Gloucestershire’s Dominic Cotter.
Lynne tells Dominic the story behind one of her books, Meant for Each Other, which has just been nominated for a prestigious Romantic Novelists’ Association. (You can see the full list of nominations on the RNA site.)
Meant for Each Other is being published by D C Thomson under Lynne’s mother’s name, because Lynne co-wrote it with her to keep her mother occupied while she was really ill. In a lovely gesture, Lynne presented her mother with a framed copy of the new book’s cover for her 86th birthday.
Here’s the “Listen Again” link, which will work for the next 29 days: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02qpr0s#auto Do listen in. Lynne’s a natural on the radio!
Dominic Potter, who also produces BBC Radio Gloucestershire’s monthly Book Club slot on Claire Carter’s show, which also features Festival authors Caroline Sanderson and Debbie Young. BBC Radio Gloucestershire kindly donated station car stickers and bookmarks for the Festival goody bags – gotta love local radio!
